First: What is a Par-3 Golf course?

Golf: It’s become super popular recently, what’s the rave all about? Talk to any long-time golfer and they can go on for hours… great walk outdoors, fun with friends, personal challenge, a different game everyday, all around fun, friendly competition, and on and on and on.

What does South Cove’s Par-3 golf course offer you? Well, not every golf course is the same. A typical golf course has 18 holes with Par 3, 4 and 5 holes. A par is the number of shots you should be taking to complete the hole (ball in the cup). They are around 7,000 yards in length and can take as much as 5 hours to play a full 18 holes.

At South Cove every hole at our 9-hole course is a Par-3 with a total yardage of 969 yards (1939 for 18 holes). A normal game can be played in under 2 hours. You can go around twice to play a full 18-holes if you wish for a total of 1939 yard. That’s a great little stroll.

Second: who can play on a Par-3 golf course?

The short answer: EVERYONE. We see golfers of all ages and varying levels of experience entering our course everyday and finishing their game with a great big smile on their faces.

• Families: some great family memories are created on our course. Children as young as 6 years of age can play with their parents and learn to develop their abilities for this great game.
• Youth: teen friends can spend hours of fun enjoying and learning the game of golf.
• Friends & colleagues: you don’t need to be an experienced golfer to engage in a friendly competition on the greens.
• Spouses: young and old come and spend some quality couple-time on the course all while taking in some great outdoor exercise.
• Experienced golfers: the “Drive for show and put for dough” saying is true on our course. The short game is where it’s at and even the best golfers will be challenged on our course.

Third: South Cove is the IDEAL Par-3 course

You’ve all heard the real-estate saying “Location, location, location”. South Cove is located in downtown Shediac at 55 South Cove Road right behind the Pizza Delight. Street access is really easy, and the nature trail runs right through it. So, you can come by automobile, bike or walk to our Pro-Shop. You can easily book your tee-time online with the most popular Chronogolf system and just show up to play at your desired time. We are also competitively priced and yearly memberships are available including for juniors, couples and families (half season memberships also available after August 1).

New in 2021, our customers can expect a heightened quality of golf experience. Yes, we have invested in a state-of-the-art automated irrigation system throughout the entire golf course. Fairways are green, greens are fast for the entire season.
